Geraskina biography
The albums of the performer Leah Borisovna Geraskina are a famous Soviet author specializing in writing fairy tales and plays. Leah was born on October 3 in Novorossiysk. In early childhood, the girl became a witness to military events, because of which her family was forced to flee from her hometown to Yekaterinodar later he became Krasnodar. When the bombing in Novorossiysk died out, and it became peaceful there, Leah returned and entered the preparatory class of the gymnasium.
However, the revolution began already in the year, and the Geraskins moved again. Liya spent most of her childhood and youth in Krasnodar, where she received a school education. After school, Geraskina got a job as a librarian at a toy factory. In the thirties, the future writer managed to get married, give birth to a daughter and move to Magnitogorsk.
There she went to work on a power station, while training at the electrical technical school. It was with power plants and electricity that the whole life of Leah and her husband was connected. After some time, the young family moved to the north, to Krasnoyarsk, where Leah got a job at the local newspaper. During the Great Patriotic War, Leah Borisovna was a rear of the rear, worked hard to win, lifted two children and helped an elderly mother.
After the war, she went to work in the local radio committee editor. Leah Geraskina: Liya’s literary talent manifested itself quite early: already in school years she began to write poetry, even chose a poetic form for composing on the exam. Later Geraskina actively worked as a journalist, a Lithuanian employee, as well as a special correspondent. After the war, while working in the Radio Committee, Lia wrote her first scenario based on the fairy tale of Selma Laherlef about Niels and wild geese.
In addition to writing the script, she prepared a performance together with young artists, which was very successful. She later wrote another scenario, the basis for which this time was the works of Andersen. The play repeated the success of the author’s first work, it was put in the Krasnoyarsk Drama Theater, the Novosibirsk Youth Theater and on other scenes. For merits in the literary field, Geraskin was admitted to the Writers' Union in the year.
