On the theater square of the city there is a monument to Mkrtchyan: he sits in a closed pose, stinging, a sad expression froze on his face, and next to two theatrical masks, comedy and tragedy.

The monument refers to Aphorism Charlie Chaplin, whom MKRTICHN loved very much and who, perhaps, brought him to cinema: “Life is close -up of a tragedy, but it seems to be a comedy from afar.” Monument to Frunzik Mkrtchyan in the city of Gyumri by the parents of the future actor were refugees: they fled from Turkey as children, where the Armenian genocide began in the year. Having lost all loved ones, they grew up in an orphanage.

The family lived very poorly. Father Musheg worked as a loser at a local textile factory, mother of sanams in the same place washed dishes in the dining room. But the parents of Mkrtchyan were proud people and did not pass the difficulties, which they also taught their children - except Frunzik, another son and two daughters grew up in the family. At birth, the name Frunze was recorded in Mkrtchyan’s passport, wanting to pay tribute to the revolutionary Mikhail Frunze, his house was called Mger, which was translated from Armenian, and Frunzik affectionately nicknamed the people, and later fans even gave him documents to this name.

Childhood of Mkrtchyan can hardly be called cloudless: a large family often did not have enough money even for food. Father alcoholism added to the modest salaries of parents. The drunken head of the family often struck children, Frunzika was especially strong. At the school of a modest boy, they teased for too much nose, old clothes and silence. He did not dare to oppose the hooligans.

But in the courtyard, among friends, Frunzik was a real star: he hung the bedspread and, against his background, arranged theatrical scenes for everyone. The boy dreamed of walking in the footsteps of Charlie Chaplin, whom he once saw on the movie screen and since then has not missed a single film with his participation. The father believed that the future of his son was drawing.

Frunzik talentedly depicted any landscapes and made accurate cartoons on the accidental people. In the year, when Mkrtchyan was 13, his father was imprisoned for stealing five meters of fabric from the factory. For 10 years he was poured in the camps in the camps near Nizhny Tagil. Frunzik, as the eldest son, had to take care of the family. He had to quit school and get an assistant cinema to the cinema.

He really every day joyfully fled to work in the film club, believing that he had found his calling.

The boss, seeing the zeal of the boy, took him to a dramatic circle. But Frunzik's debut on stage failed. The teenager was entrusted with only one phrase, but when he went to the audience, the hall began to sink with laughter - so Mkrtchyan seemed to them awkward with his huge nose. Frunzik was at first upset, but later realized that he had a special gift, because he could easily make any audience laugh.

Frunzik Mkrtchyan in his youth in the year Mkrtchyan began to study at the Leninakan Theater. Askanaza is a brink. And two years later he was enrolled in the troupe of this theater. Frunzik moved to Yerevan, where he entered the local theater and art institute. But if in the frame a bright Armenian was offered only very small roles, then in performances he could truly realize his talent. In a year, up to 10 performances were staged with him, and Frunzik quickly became the Yerevan Theater Star - the audience specially bought tickets for productions with his participation.

But the first noticeable role in the movie Mkrtchyan had to wait up to a year. Frunzika was invited to one of the main roles, musician and sergeant Arsen. Frunzik Mkrtchyan in the film "Muzkomanda guys" despite the success of the film, the next five years Mkrtchyan did not receive offers about new roles. Finally he was invited to the film "Thirty -Three" George Danelia - the actor played Professor Bruka.

And although Danelia's tape was recognized as “ideologically unreliable”, it was removed from the rental two weeks later and was “rehabilitated” only 25 years later, Frunzika was finally noticed by filmmakers. Frunzik, in the role of a pirate in the film “Aibolit”, roles poured one after another - in the year the actor played in the musical comedy “White Royal”, after 2 years he starred in the historical tape “Explosion after midnight”.

The artist continued to go out onto the theater scene. In years, due to personal problems, about which a little later, Frunzik almost never starred. He made an exception only in the year for Danelia, when he called him to the role of the driver of Rubik Khachikyan in the film "Mimino". The role of the driver of Rubik Khachikyan, whom fate accidentally brought with the failed pilot Valiko, became the key to the entire filmography of Mkrtchyan.

He was almost not trusted by noticeable roles, and the actor was limited to episodic appearance on the screen. One of the latter happened in the year in the melodrama “Lonely is given a hostel”, where Natalya Gundareva and Alexander Mikhailov played the main roles. Despite his brother and two sisters, even in the family, Frunzik was very lonely. And from this feeling, he subsequently tried to get rid of her marriages, none of which he was happy, then with the help of alcohol, repeating the fate of his father. Mkrtchyan played the first wedding in the student, falling in love with Knaru's classmate. The marriage broke up very quickly, the actor was lonely for a long time.

In the year, he saw a student of the Yerevan Theater university Donaru Pilosyan and instantly fell in love. Frunzik believed that he had finally gained long -awaited happiness: they starred with his wife, played in the theater. Sundukyana and raised children. The actor almost quit drinking and did not pay attention to worried acquaintances. And they increasingly noticed how quickly the young wife of Frunzik will become furious.

One of them made Donara a diagnosis - hereditary schizophrenia. Mkrtchyan spent the next decade in worries about his wife, taking her to doctors in Armenia, then to psychiatrists in Europe.

But Donara plunged deeper into madness. In the year, the actress got a psychiatric hospital in the Armenian city of Sevan, where she spent the next 25 years - until her death. She rarely came into consciousness, almost did not remember the family, but with pleasure she read theatrical monologues to her neighbors in the wards. Mkrtchyan and the children were grief. At first, the actor still tried to take care of Nuna and Vazgen, but more and more began to drink.

The directors also noticed this, they refused to work with a drunken actor. Even Danelia on the set of Mimino threatened Frunzik with removal - the actor could not hold out sober for more than a week. A documentary about Frunzik Mkrtchyan in the beginning of the 10s of the actor's daughter married and left Armenia. And Mkrtchyan stayed with the new grief - noticing the oddity in the behavior of his son, the actor immediately took him to the doctors.

Those confirmed the terrible guesses of the artist - the mental illness of the mother was transmitted to the boy. The actor determined his son in the same hospital in Sevan, where Donara was located. Doctors recalled that mother and son came across in the corridors, but did not recognize each other. In an attempt to escape from the newly swaying loneliness, Mkrtchyan married again - the daughter of the Armenian writer Grachy Oganesyan, Tamara.

But the woman could not stand Frunzik's addiction to alcohol and soon left him. With his third wife Tamara, by the end of the x, the actor almost did not leave Yerevan. Alcohol brought him to serious health problems: Frunzik found a liver disease, once he survived a clinical death, but even after that case he did not stop drinking. He was no longer invited to the cinema, and he left Mkrtchyan himself - he hoped that after so many years of serving the stage, he could be appointed chief director, but this did not happen.

The actor spent all the earned funds on the treatment of his son and the creation of his own theater in which he could produce performances. Albert’s anxiety was confirmed: in the apartment he discovered his brother’s body. The inhabitants of Yerevan recalled for several more years that that evening they turned off the electricity in the whole city for several hours.
