The work of a close-knit team, the adoption of competent managerial decisions and the harmonization of educational processes led to the disclosure of the potential of the faculty and the formation of Moscow University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia as a modern educational center.

The University was led by the Doctor of Law, Lieutenant General of Police Nikolai Viktorovich Rumyantsev. Since November, Kikotya has been headed by the candidate of pedagogical sciences, Lieutenant General of Police Igor Aleksandrovich Kalinichenko. Under his leadership, the university received its further development in all areas of activity. The university today is the flagship of departmental education, the largest methodological and scientific center, which has a unique scientific and pedagogical potential and a powerful material and technical base.

The university has not only the All -Russian, but also the international reputation of a leading university among educational organizations of law enforcement agencies and successfully solves responsible tasks for the training of highly qualified specialists for internal affairs bodies. Profile training of highly qualified specialists for internal affairs bodies is implemented at the university on the basis of 3 institutes and 9 faculties, as well as in three branches: Moscow Regional, Ryazan and Tver.

The university has created a unique educational environment. A significant part of the training sessions is carried out at landfills and laboratories equipped with the most modern technical, forensic and multimedia tools and layouts, which makes it possible to work out various tasks in the situation as close as possible to the real activities of the internal affairs bodies. High-quality training of cadets, listeners and adjuncts of the university is ensured by the faculty with high professionalism and scientific qualifications.

At 34 departments of the university, doctors of sciences, candidate of sciences, 90 professors and associate professor work. The basis of scientific and pedagogical potential is 18 honored lawyers of the Russian Federation, 11 honored employees of the Higher School of the Russian Federation and 5 honored science figures of the Russian Federation, 4 honored employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, 59 honorary employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, 7 honored employees of the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation.

The university has become an advanced research center, known to the entire police community. Such authority is largely due to the intellectual potential of the entire team, an innovative approach to pedagogical activity. The educational and material base of the university includes 10 educational buildings, 30 training grounds, 90 training laboratories, 45 lecture halls, 20 sports facilities and more educational audiences.

The center of special and physical training is developing, which allows year -round training of specialists in conditions as close as possible to real ones. The created educational and material base of the Center is designed to hold sports competitions of the All-Russian and International level.The development of the priority areas of research work is carried out by 13 scientific schools formed around the leading scientists of the university who managed to develop innovative methods.

The university has issued thousands of scientific and educational works, including monographs, comments on the legislation, textbooks, textbooks that formed the basis of a series of regulatory legal acts, as well as decisions of the plenums of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation. The university actively uses modern information and pedagogical technologies.

Special programs of professional education of employees profiled by types of operational and service activities, forming the professional, moral and psychological qualities of the individual, determined by the specifics of the chosen profession, are introduced into the educational process, and effective work is underway to form the professional culture of future employees of the internal affairs bodies.

The university constantly conducts professional skill lessons with the participation of employees of various departments of the internal affairs bodies, the lessons of courage with the participation of veterans of the Great Patriotic War, employees of the internal affairs bodies awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union, Hero of Russia, awarded the orders of courage. The university organized patronage over veterans of the Great Patriotic War and the internal affairs bodies.

Chief work is carried out with pupils of orphanages, boarding schools, cadet corps. As part of the ceremonial calculation, the university cadets with solemn march were held along the main square of the country. Kikotya, who combined modern technologies, an information base containing historical facts of development of our state, the Ministry of the Interior of the Russian Federation and the University, reflecting the milestones of our history.

The complex has been created and operates: the Kalashnikov Hall, which presents samples of modern firearms, prototypes and experimental specimens, the exposition of foreign weapons and the most modern means of attack and protection; History History of Moscow University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia named after V. Kikotya; Hall of Glory and Traditions of the University; Hall of history of the Russian police.

Cultural, educational and moral and aesthetic education of cadets and listeners is carried out by the University of Cultural Center. Cadets and listeners participating in studio work annually win the high titles of laureates and diplomatians of prestigious forums of amateur artistic art, conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, such as the All -Russian Festival of Musical Creativity of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “Shield and Lyra”, the photo contest of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “Open Blind”, the literary competition of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs “Good Word” The All -Russian campaign “Mercy of the White Nights”, “Victory for the Future”, “The Century with Age”, “We Remember”.

Much attention at the university is paid to the development of service and applied sports, sports and massive work, as well as the popularization of physical education among personnel. Experienced mentors are preparing to participate in responsible competitions of all levels of cadets and listeners, including Honored Coaches of Russia, champions and prize -winners of the most prestigious sports.

Employees and cadets are part of national teams at all -Russian and international competitions. In the year of the anniversary of the university, a new training building is commissioned. In the new building of the university, a new infrastructure will be created, which allows to conduct training sessions at a qualitatively new level.

The university is actively cooperation with research and educational institutions of foreign countries and international organizations in various fields of police training and improving the activities of law enforcement agencies. Over the twenty years of work, the Moscow University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia named after Vladimir Yakovlevich Kikota trained more than 55 thousand specialists for the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation, of which diplomas with honors - graduates from which they completed training with gold medals.
