Biography of Leo Quin

Vitaliy Miloserodov on the wall of one of the Barnaul houses, located on Lenin Avenue near a house, famous citizens as a “gastronum under a spire”, a memorial plaque reminiscent of a passerby that the famous writer Leo Quin lived here for a year. The inscription on the board recalls, and does not report it, because since the year Lev Izrailevich lived side by side with us. With someone he traveled in crowded trams and buses, with someone met at the many large and small enterprises that existed in those years, as well as in the villages and villages of the Agrarian Territory.

About those people of labor, about their affairs and problems, a talented writer informed us, his fellow countrymen, in newspaper and journal articles, in stories, stories and plays. And not only to fellow countrymen, because his works were published in mass circles in Novosibirsk, Moscow, the Union republics, which have now become countries of the near abroad. The novels written by him are covered by other territories and longer historical periods, and are also the fruits of observing life in the Soviet Union and abroad.

And Lev Israilevich always sought to live in such a way as to constantly be in the thick of events. But the place of his birth was the capital of Latvia - Riga. The criticism of judgments inherent in childhood, an increased sense of justice, as well as observing the surrounding reality led him to enter the underground Union of Youth of Latvia, where he actively worked up to a year, until the guard arrested, related to his underground work.

The awards are eloquently evidenced by rewards: the Order of the Patriotic War of the first degree, the Order of the Red Star and numerous medals that began soon during the years that began soon during the years of the Great Patriotic War. He also has awards of the Hungarian People’s Republic, the territory of which he liberated, and then worked there as part of a military garrison.

Having moved with his family in the year in Altai, Lev Israilevich, who already had the experience of journalistic work, immediately joined the literary activity, illuminating the events of that time. And the events took place grandiose. The virgin and deposit lands rose, the Siberian cities grew violently, and the formation, science and industry laid down during the war years as a result of the evacuation of universities and enterprises from the European part of the USSR were rapidly developing in them.

In the year, as a result of the coup, the Soviet Union ceased to exist, the "dashing" nineties began. The enterprises created by the selfless labor of the people were purposefully destroyed, the massive impoverishment of the inhabitants of the country took place as a result of unemployment and the changed social policy of the government. Lev Israilevich personally took care of the veterans of the Great Patriotic War and about all who turned to him for help, the inhabitants of the region, he provided them with comprehensive assistance.

Who else knew Lev Israilevich, more precisely, his works are children. After all, one of the directions of his writing activity was children's literature. This was facilitated by his cooperation with the newspaper "Youth of Altai", and constant communication with their children and schoolchildren of cities and the villages of the region, as well as his personal memories from childhood that came for an unstable time.

I admit that in my childhood, due to my age, I did not read the children's works of Leo Quin. Or maybe in our rural library there were no them. Later, when my children reached the age of the heroes of the stories and stories of Quin, I read with interest in the lines of his works, experienced the events reflected in them. I seemed to return to my childhood, finding in the characters and actions of the heroes of his stories and stories and some of my features and deeds.

His works for children and adults, exciting stories of which involve the events that are happening there, gradually, without excessive instructiveness, calls readers to courage, honesty, kindness, decency, teach independence, the ability to be friends. The works raise the problems of relations between fathers and children, students and teachers, known in the literature since the time of mythology.

They are decided by the author on a serious basis and with a share of humor. Everything is perceived real. My wife, who studied in a parallel class with the daughter of Lev Izrailevich, somehow shared his impressions of reading her at school age of the collection of Kwin's stories “How much left before the call?

Biography of Leo Quin

In the images of the characters in stories, she easily guessed classmates, teachers, and director of her school. In my home library now there are books by Leo Quin, I believe that they will be interesting to many generations of my heirs, because the problems of people's relations will remain relevant as long as the world will exist. During the heyday of his creative forces, Lev Israilevich actively worked in the editorials of the literary magazines published in Barnaul, was the secretary of the Altai branch of the Writers' Union.

And this required constant interaction with brothers in the pen of writers and poets, as well as with readers. Many of them turned to the editorial office and personally with all kinds of household, family, creative and other questions. The reviews of many, among the number of those who addressed Lev Israilevich, indicate that he, having rich everyday experience, the gift of conviction, a great circle of dating, solved their problems.

His work was evaluated by a government award - the Order of the Person of Honor. Lev Israilevich lived five years longer than the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics with whom they were the same. It is possible that the death of the USSR, the ideas of the development of which the writer supported, starting from his youth, reflected in his works, and then observed the consequences of destruction with bitterness, undermined his health and accelerated his departure.

The memory of famous people lives in their creations, memorial boards and in folk memories. Memories persist longer if the names of these worthy people are present in the names of any historical objects, squares, streets. So in Barnaul there are the streets of L. Tolstoy, A. Pushkin, N Gogol, N. Ostrovsky and others. Working on this essay, I made a request on the all -knowing Internet, is there any Barnaul Street Leva Quin?

The Internet replied that there was no such street ... not yet.
