We alone remained in Ukraine, ”says Alexander. The wife of Alexander Irina had relatives in Belarus. For Alexander himself, the majority of relatives in Russia, with whom, after the outbreak of war, he ceased to communicate. He played the war on the rug. I went in for sports: football, swimming. He watched himself. Even when he came on vacation from Azov, he did not bypass the horizontal bar.

He was sports, he did not drink, did not smoke. I did not realize then, but he was a gift from God, ”says Alexander. He studied at the Nikolaev shipbuilding University named after Makarov and received higher education. He had flat feet and he was not suitable for military service.

Doctors were surprised that many conscripts were looking for reason to get off the service, and then he was asking for himself, ”says Alexander. At first, Eugene was taken to the National Guard. He served in the unit in Mariupol.

She patrolled the front -line city with the police. In the fall of the year, he signed a contract with Azov for three years, handed over the necessary standards. Then the front line with the Russians passed 20 kilometers from Mariupol. With their feat on Azovstal, they confirmed this. These were military professionals. They were originally trained according to NATO standards. They got rid of everything Soviet, ”says Alexander.

In the siege, he worried about his parents in Ofrontov Nikolaev in OM Evgeny participated in battles on the Svetlodar arc and he was awarded the distinction “for participating in hostilities”. Before the full -scale war, Eugene served in the Azov regiment for three and a half years. In Nikolaev, Eugene came to his parents twice a year on vacation. The last time he saw his parents in October.

He said about himself that they were holding on. We prayed to God to get out of that hell, remain alive, ”recalls Alexander. He says that he understood what was happening on Azovstal. The military pulled a lot of effort of the Russian army, but, according to Alexander, they would have brought more benefit if they left Mariupol before the siege.

Zhenya said that they should not give up, since they will be killed all. Before surrendering, he did not live ten days. There were not only Azov, but also border guards, marines, ”says Alexander. He was awarded posthumously by the Order of “For Courage” of 3 degrees. Six months later, the deputy company commander, freed from captivity, said that Eugene was mortally wounded in a battle before his eyes.

The Russian attack then managed to recapture and take the body. We hoped that he was alive, that a mistake. Watched a video with freed Azovites. They hoped until the fall, ”says Alexander. The dead there are just a nightmare how many people. ” Living with the loss of his son, Alexander says that he does not regret moving to Ukraine. According to him, there is more freedom here, there is no police dictatorship, as in Belarus, although there were problems that, against the background of the war, look like a trifle now.

They "freed us" from our son. I talked with my relatives. They live in a different reality. It seems normal, adequate, but to declare that it is worth killing everyone, to erase the cities ... They do not want to hear and open their eyes. ” Alexander says that Ukrainians are offended that Russians attacked Ukraine from the territory of Belarus. He understands that this is not the people to blame, but the regime located in power.

According to him, the wife before the war was in Belarus and said that she had a feeling that she had returned to the Soviet Union. According to him, on May 5 a large group of Russian special forces entered the plant, who learned from prisoners where Ukrainian soldiers are located. Eugene died during a shootout with the attacker. The bullet hit him in the sleepy artery.
